First Two Weeks of Site’s Existence Generate Positive Responses & High Levels of Interest from Engineers, Manufacturers, Contractors & Academia

Reaction to the release of HelicalPierWorld.com has been great to say the least. At the publish date of this article, HPW has been released for exactly two weeks and has received in excess of 5,000 hits. Support for HPW has come from Engineers, Manufacturers, Contractors and Academia. HelicalPierWorld.com is very proud and excited by this early wave of endorsements, and we would like to thank the many individuals who have emailed and called with kudos and best wishes.

Rest assured the HelicalPierWorld.com team is not about to rest on any of these early laurels. Obviously our website is in its infancy, and we are working hard to develop valuable and timely information for the site. As the global information source for the helical pier industry, we are challenged to provide a wide variety of information that our readers will find both valuable and useful. Just a few of the topics we are working on currently include:

Technical design information on compression and tension applications for engineers

In-depth market analyses for all helical pier markets

Reporting on activities and efforts in the academic community for including helical piers in engineering classrooms

Developing infomation conduits for gathering and disseminating helical pier news from around the globe

Coordinating efforts with ASCE, DFI, DOT and other organizations to introduce helical piers to engineers and architects around the globe
Indeed these are lofty goals, but the positive feedback we have already received has convinced us that together we can reach these goals. Reaching these goals will require support from companies and individuals throughout the helical pier industry. It will require support in the form of articles, technical papers, case studies, news, and it will certainly require financial support in the form of advertising dollars. We have already received verbal advertising commitments from several companies, and we certainly expect the word about HelicalPierWorld.com to spread rapidly to many more potential advertisers. With over 5000 hits on the site in our first two weeks, we are hopeful and excited about the prospect of increasing this number to five or six figures in the not too distant future. Together, we can do this!
Let me share one last email that came in recently - “Our interest for your site is to be an unbiased clearinghouse for quality information, not a place to vent, rant and bitch.” What an excellent email. Why? Because being unbiased and objective is what HPW is all about. As Editor-in-Chief, let me take this opportunity to reaffirm our commitment that there will never be any bias towards any company or organization - never.
